Tourney Thoughts

You know that image you get sometimes from movies where the guy walks out of the bar after an all night bender and he is kind of surprised by how light it is, he doesn't know what time it is, and he saw things that just cannot be unseen. Well, thats essentially been the deal with me since our beloved brackets came out yesterday and it will continue up until Thursday at 12:15.

Uncle Sub basically said everything I wanted to say in regards to the selection committee. A truly piss-poor effort and I am still baffled how UAB got in. Regardless, I'm not gonna take that route here and rather just talk about whats going on upstairs in mi cabeza. As a forewarning, for the rest of this week this is basically how I'm gonna post--- a bunch of random comments that have no structure or pattern whatsoever, so if you can't handle it then go fuck yourself and take advice from Dick "I always take the chalk" Vitale.

1) Wisconsin could very well lead to heart attack #1 for me, but like Chris Farley in Bob Sworskys bar I see myself going through about a bakers dozen in my NCAA tourney watching career. Everybody and their grandmother are taking Belmont to beat the Badgers, and they very well could, but I am leaning towards the Badgers actually making the Final Four. Pitt isn't convincing enough to me and I love Jordan Taylor.

2) Butler and Old Dominion will be a sick game. Two mid-majors who pride themselves on blue collar D always makes for great March ball.

3) Yea Florida shouldn't be a 2 seed, but they could definitely make the Final Four. Not so much based on their talent but on their road. Sub loves Izzo, but there is a reason that team has 14 losses. I like a Wisconsin-Florida matchup in the Elite 8 in the Southeast.

4) Im not feeling UConn. Asking a team to win that many games in a row is too much.
