BYU's The Realness

Nothing better than nursing a hangover with a butt-fet of college hoops on a lazy Saturday. I just watched the BYU SDSU game and let me tell you, flat out, I was wrong. I thought BYU was simply a one man team. Yeah they have the purest scorer in the game since that witch JJ Redick, but damn these Cougars can shoot. They dropped 14 threes in this game. I couldn't do that if I was spotted 13 and was shooting in an open gym. Fredette led the way with 25 points and 9 helpers but it was the support that was the most impressive. Charles Abouo, Noah Hartstock and Jackson Emery all dropped 18, 15 and 13 respectively. Not to mention they were on the road against a one loss team. I frequently called BYU the Jimmers, but now i'll actually consider calling them a team because that is some impressive output from the other mormons. I didn't throw Dave Rose in the conversation for Coach of the Year because I thought he could simply roll the ball to Jimmer and he would do the rest. He had a great offensive and defensive scheme knowing that the Aztecs would be keying on Fredette. I must say that if I had Steve Fisher as one of my Coaches of the Year then I have to include the man whose given the Aztecs their only two losses of the year. I've learned the reality that this team is more than just one man, they are truly a team. So for that, I am sorry BYU. Now if you'll excuse me i'm gonna go read what the Mormon Prophet, Joseph Smith, has to say so I can improve my long range shooting.
