That first weekend was wild. It all started on Thursday when a perfect storm of college hoops, beer and Gus Johnson hit us all. So i'm gonna make like Pharrell and think about it, take a second (ding). There were plenty of upsets but Morehead State upending mobster Rick Pitino and the L'Ville Cardinals was the biggest one via HUGE three ball and then a great defensive stop. (ps is Mike Marra the ugliest man in college hoops?)
Then how about VCU and FSU? I mean i'm sure you had one of them in the elite 8 right? VCU were amongst the teams that were said should not have made the tournament. Well they are making the haters look dumber than Blake Griffin's face. Not many had the baby Butler bulldogs doing much this tournament but they escaped their first round matchup and exposed Pitt as the overrated pussies that they are and Arizona did the same to Texas. Marquette has a chance to make it to the elite 8 as an 11 seed and as long as John Henson keeps playing like a dumbass then they might have a shot. Yeah I know Isaiah Thomas was shooting a 2 but I don't think for a second Henson knew that for sure.
How about the Big East huh? Only two teams remaining from their 11 team representatives? Don't get me wrong, I think all of those teams should have been in, and it doesn't help that there were two games in which Big East teams played each other, but there is no doubt that they are underachieving. It has been said however that while this conference is more stacked than a BK Stacker there were really no natty 'ship contenders.
PS- I still hate Florida, I'm hoping Jimmer and the Mormons shoot their ill-used balls off and eliminate the Gators.
